Global Institute for Ministry and Training
The Global Institute for Ministry and Training (GIMT) just returned from teaching and preaching at the National Pentecost Celebration Conference in Bern, Switzerland organized by Shirley Weingartner.
GIMT European Coordinator, Dr. Blayne Waltrip provided training lectures on Pentecost, Mission and Revival. Pastor Fred Nichols, Vice President, GIMT and Missionary to Muslims in Dearborn, Michigan, was privileged to preach at Pastor Weingartner’s new church plant in Luzern.
The GIMT team then proceeded to Brussels, Belgium to train pastors at the New Jerusalem Church of God on Islam and how to share your faith within this closed community. The Conference was organized by Edmond Malonda (Director of the Bible School of Brussels, FFTB) and hosted by Pastor Bishop Martin Mutyebele. The first evening of the Conference, Reverend Nichols wife, Melody Nichols, who directs a Ministry to Muslim Women in Dearborn, Michigan, presented a revealing inside look at the struggles of Muslim women in Islam. The second evening Reverend Fred Nichols shared with the ministers an insightful look into his day to day ministries and how to Evangelize Muslims. Dr. Blayne Waltrip then taught the final evening on being a Missional Church that has Harvest eyes to reach Muslim immigrants. There were several former Muslims immigrants that attended the Conference.
God richly blessed the Conference and GIMT is currently in discussion to return next year and do a multi-day outreach to the Muslims in the area similar to what GIMT and Ishmael’s Blessings conduct each year in Dearborn, Michigan.
It must also be noted that as of this year, Dr. Michael Baker, President of Pentecostal Theological Seminary and Chancellor of Education for the Church of God invited GIMT to Partner with the Seminary in their effort to carry out their Global Educational Initiative.
