ANNOUNCES

Preparations to Launch 
Center for African Descent Studies

At the recent PTS Board of Trustees meeting, the Board approved the establishment of the Center for African Descent Studies.  Once established, the Center (CADS) will offer certificate programs associated with the Black renewal studies in the Pentecostal tradition, as well as, providing signature courses at the graduate and post-graduate levels.  Plans are for CADS to be established by the Summer/Fall of 2023.

Dr. Clifton Clarke will serve as the Executive Director of the program.  Dr. Clark is an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God, educator, and respected author.  Education is one of Dr. Clarke’s passion.  Dr. Clarke is a highly respected seasoned leader who has trained thousands all over the world.  He has worked in universities in various capacities in the UK, Africa, and the USA.  As a theologian and Biblical scholar, Dr. Clarke believes theological training is a critical part of ministry preparation and development.  His background includes serving as Associate Dean of the William E. Pannell Center for African American Church Studies and World Christianity, Fuller Theological Seminary; visiting professor at Salem University in Nigeria; Perez University Ghana; and Birmingham Christian College UK (Church of Pentecost).  He will bring a wealth of ministry experience and visionary leadership to the PTS Center for African Descent Studies.
