Dr. Nieves is an ordained bishop in the Church of God (Cleveland, TN). He is a church planter who has pastored a multicultural congregation for 20 years. He also served the South Carolina State Office as Hispanic Ministries Director, State Council member, Church Ministries Board, Ministerial Development (Spanish), and District Overseer.
Dr. Nieves also taught at Holmes Bible College for 10 years before pursuing his doctoral studies. Teaching and developing leaders have been a passion, which he has had the privilege of doing for over 16 years. He has also trained over a hundred community chaplains through Christ Central Ministries. Additionally, he worked 32 years at Clemson University in Information Technology. In 1994, he received an honorable discharge from the Army National Guard.
Upon graduation, Dr. Nieves received the Zondervan Theology Award from Regent University for his contributions to Practical Theology and research. He is currently working on publishing his thesis on Pentecostal Transnational Ecclesiology, A Latino/a Study of Convivencia among Hispanic Migrant Communities of Faith. Additionally, some recent research project results will soon be published.
Eduardo is a member of Society for Pentecostal Studies, American Academy of Religion, Asociación Para la Educación Teológica Hispana, and Southeastern Immigration Studies Association.
